Henrikh Mkhitaryan has been ruled out for the remainder of this season, with Inter Milan struggling to replace his key forward role.

Mkhitaryan joined Inter from Bayern Munich in January 2019 and was instrumental in helping the club reach the Champions League final last year. He scored seven goals and provided two assists in the campaign, but injuries have taken their toll on his form.

Inter manager Antonio Conte said in a statement that he is "devastated" by the news, adding: "He had a good season and we hope he can come back stronger."

The Italian giants will now look to replace Mkhitaryan with another attacking player who can provide depth to their squad. Inter boss Roberto Mancini has already confirmed that he would like to sign a new striker if available.

Meanwhile, Inter also lost their top scorer, Romelu Lukaku, to injury during the winter transfer window. The club will be looking to add some more firepower to their attack as they look to bounce back from this season's disappointing performance.
